The company Deckstool was created nearly 7 years ago when entrepreneurs Jason Podlaski and his brother had the idea to transform a bunch of broken skateboard decks lying around the house. They thought it would be a cool idea to do something constructive. After a bit of practice, they began selling their products online and the appropriate name “Deckstool” arose. Different design structures are inspired by the actual break of the board itself. Deckstool works with different skateparks to collect and recycle broken boards. In return, they give a percentage of their sales to help raise funds for supporting programs and skate projects. Each product is handcrafted by skaters in the USA. Products range from small skateboard magnets and bottle openers to stools and full-sized park benches.
